Malayalam cinema has lost a seasoned talent as Santhosh Nair passed away following a tragic road accident in Pathanamthitta, Kerala.
The accident took place in Enathu when the car he was travelling in collided with a lorry. His wife, Shubhashree, was also injured in the incident. While undergoing treatment, the actor reportedly suffered a heart attack and later succumbed to his condition. The lorry driver was also injured in the crash.
🎬 A Career Spanning Decades
Santhosh Nair began his acting journey with the 1982 film Ithu Njangalude Katha. Over the years, he appeared in more than 100 films, taking on a wide range of roles—from villains and lead characters to supporting and comic performances.
Born on November 12, 1960, in Thiruvananthapuram, he grew up in an academically inclined family. Despite a strong educational background and early involvement in politics during his college days, he chose to follow his passion for acting.
🎥 Final Film Appearance
His latest film, Mohiniyattam, which is currently running in theatres, now stands as his final on-screen appearance.
The film is part of the Bharathanatyam franchise and features actors like Saiju Kurup, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Vinay Forrt, and Jagadish.
