West Indies Name Squad for Sri Lanka ODIs

🏏 West Indies have unveiled a powerful squad for their three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka, with the team aiming to strengthen its chances of qualifying directly for the 2027 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup.

The series will be played entirely at Sabina Park in Jamaica from June 3 to June 8.

👑 Shai Hope Continues as Captain

Captain Shai Hope will once again lead the Caribbean side, which features a blend of experienced stars and emerging talent.

🔥 Major Boost With Key Returns

The squad has been strengthened by the return of several important players.

Alzarri Joseph returns to ODI cricket after recovering from a back injury that kept him out since July 2025.

🌀 Spinner Gudakesh Motie is also back after missing the New Zealand tour.

💥 Pace duo Shamar Joseph and Jayden Seales have also been included, although their workloads will be managed carefully.

🌟 Hetmyer Returns After T20 World Cup Heroics

One of the biggest talking points is the return of Shimron Hetmyer.

The explosive left-hander impressed during the 2026 T20 World Cup, scoring 248 runs at an average above 41 and a strike rate of over 186.

🏏 Hetmyer will join the squad ahead of the third ODI.
