🎥 Jagapathi Babu Speaks Out On Janhvi Kapoor Trolls
Ram Charan’s blockbuster sports drama Peddi continues its dream run at the box office, reportedly crossing ₹236 crore worldwide within just three days of release. Amid the film’s success, veteran actor Jagapathi Babu, who played the powerful role of Appalasuri, has shared his thoughts on the film, recognition in the industry, and the criticism directed at Janhvi Kapoor.
🌟 ‘Peddi’ Is A Special Film For Me
Jagapathi Babu revealed that despite acting in many films over the years, Peddi holds a unique place in his career.
He stated that he eagerly awaited the film’s release and invested tremendous effort into his role. According to him, members of the film unit often applauded after his scenes were completed during shooting.
“I gave everything I had for this character. I have the right to expect recognition for the effort I put into this film.”
🎭 Recognition Debate In The Industry
The actor also recalled a conversation with a well-known filmmaker who told him that if the same role had been played by an actor from another language industry, it might have generated much more discussion and opportunities.
Jagapathi Babu said he has witnessed similar treatment while working in other language films but clarified that he does not hold any bitterness about it.
❤️ Janhvi Kapoor Gets Strong Support
Addressing the criticism aimed at Janhvi Kapoor’s role in Peddi, Jagapathi Babu strongly defended the actress.
He emphasized that actors perform according to the director’s vision and should not be personally attacked if certain scenes or character arcs fail to connect with audiences.
“Janhvi Kapoor did exactly what the director wanted. Audiences may dislike a role, but targeting an actor personally is not right.”
He further added that creative decisions sometimes do not work as expected, but that should never become a reason for online harassment or personal trolling.
