Outlook Finally Gets Unified Inbox on Windows

Outlook Finally Gets Unified Inbox on Windows

💻 After years of feedback and complaints from users, Microsoft is finally bringing the highly requested All Accounts View to Microsoft Outlook on Windows and the web.

According to the latest Microsoft 365 Roadmap update, the feature is scheduled to begin rolling out globally in August 2026, giving users a much easier way to manage multiple email accounts from a single inbox view.

📧 What Is All Accounts View?

The new feature acts like a unified inbox, allowing users with multiple email accounts to view messages from all inboxes in one place.

Instead of switching between different accounts throughout the day, users will be able to:

✅ View emails from all accounts together

✅ Read and reply to messages

✅ Delete emails

✅ Archive messages

✅ Move emails between folders

✅ Mark emails as read or unread

Importantly, the accounts will remain separate behind the scenes. The feature simply provides a consolidated view to improve productivity and convenience.

🚀 A Feature Users Have Wanted for Years

The lack of a unified inbox has been one of the biggest criticisms of the new Outlook experience on Windows.

While Outlook on Mac and mobile devices has supported a unified inbox for years, Windows users were left without the feature despite Microsoft’s push toward the new Outlook platform.

Many users resorted to workarounds and repeatedly requested the functionality through Microsoft’s feedback channels. The company’s latest roadmap update confirms that those requests have finally been heard.

🤖 Copilot Included, But Some Features Missing

Microsoft says the initial version of All Accounts View will include support for Copilot AI integration, allowing users to use Outlook’s growing list of AI-powered tools directly from the unified inbox.

However, some limitations will remain during the first release.

⚠️ Search functionality will initially work only within the primary account.

⚠️ Cross-account search support will arrive in a future update.

⚠️ Shared mailbox support is also planned for later releases.

🌍 Global Rollout Begins in August

Microsoft has listed the feature under General Availability, meaning it will be released worldwide across Outlook on the web and the new Outlook for Windows.

No preview or beta testing period has been announced so far.

🎯 For millions of Outlook users who manage multiple work and personal email accounts, the update could become one of the most practical improvements Microsoft has introduced in recent years.
