NSE IPO Opens Today: ₹22,568 Crore Mega Issue and 6 IPO Listings
Mumbai, September 17, 2026: Dalal Street is set for a busy Thursday as the much-awaited National Stock Exchange (NSE) IPO opens for subscription, while six companies are scheduled to make their stock market debut after completing their public offerings last week.
The NSE IPO, valued at ₹22,568 crore, will remain open for subscription until September 21. The offer involves existing shareholders of NSE selling a 5.1% stake in the country’s largest stock exchange. The issue has been priced in the range of ₹1,700 to ₹1,785 per share.
At the same time, Sonaselection India is also opening its IPO on Thursday. The company is looking to raise ₹141.6 crore through the issue, which will also close on September 21, according to exchange data.

Six Companies Set to List
Thursday will also see the listing of six companies whose IPO subscription periods ended last week. Collectively, these six IPOs attracted demand worth around ₹1.4 lakh crore, compared with their combined fundraising target of approximately ₹7,100 crore.
The companies scheduled for listing are:
- RentoMojo – ₹1,255.6 crore
- Karamtara Engineering – ₹875 crore
- LCC Projects – ₹427 crore
- Steamhouse India – ₹414 crore
- Manipal Payment – ₹805 crore
- ARCIL – ₹733 crore
The strong subscription demand across these issues has made Thursday particularly significant for investors tracking India’s primary market.
NSE IPO Price Band Fixed at ₹1,700–₹1,785
The NSE public issue has been priced at a band of ₹1,700–₹1,785 per share. The offer will allow existing shareholders to sell part of their holdings rather than raising fresh capital through newly issued shares.
The total issue size stands at ₹22,568 crore, making it one of the most closely watched public offerings in India’s capital markets.
NSE IPO Grey Market Premium Falls
Ahead of the IPO opening, NSE’s grey market premium (GMP) declined on Wednesday. By late Wednesday evening, the GMP was reported at around ₹160 per share.
The unofficial premium had reached approximately ₹280 on September 7 and stood at around ₹208 on Tuesday, indicating a decline in the grey market premium ahead of the issue opening.
GMP refers to the premium at which IPO shares are informally traded in the unofficial market before their official stock exchange listing. It is not an official exchange price and can change rapidly.
189 Funds Participate in NSE Anchor Offer
Ahead of the public subscription, NSE’s anchor allocation attracted participation from 189 institutional funds.
According to NSE, these investors collectively purchased nearly 3.8 crore shares at ₹1,785 per share, representing a total value of around ₹6,746 crore.
Domestic funds accounted for approximately ₹3,863 crore of the anchor investment, while foreign funds invested around ₹2,883 crore.
The anchor participation provides an early indication of institutional interest in the much-awaited NSE issue, although it does not determine the eventual performance of the stock after listing.
Why Thursday Is Important for the IPO Market
The combination of the NSE IPO opening, the Sonaselection India issue and six IPO listings makes Thursday an unusually active day for India’s primary market.
Investors will be watching subscription figures for the NSE issue, institutional participation, listing performances of the six newly listed companies and changes in the grey market premium.
Market participants should also remember that IPO subscription data, GMP figures and listing prices can change during the trading and subscription period. GMP, in particular, is unofficial and should not be treated as a guaranteed indicator of listing performance.
