England vs Bangladesh

Defending champions England Under-19 made a commanding start to the Super Six stage with a crushing seven-wicket victory over Bangladesh Under-19 at the Queens Sports Club.

Opting to bat first, Bangladesh were bundled out for just 136 in 38.1 overs as England’s bowlers delivered a clinical performance. Sebastian Morgan led the attack with figures of 3 for 28, while Ralphie Albert and Manny Lumsden picked up two wickets each.

In reply, England captain Thomas Rew anchored the chase with a composed unbeaten 59 off 50 balls. His 78-run partnership with Ben Mayes (34) sealed a comfortable win inside 25 overs, pushing England close to a semifinal berth.

Sri Lanka vs Afghanistan

Sri Lanka Under-19 kept their semifinal hopes alive with a tense four-wicket win over Afghanistan Under-19 in a low-scoring encounter at the Namibia Cricket Ground, Windhoek.

Afghanistan posted 193 all out in 49.5 overs, with Osman Sadat top-scoring with a gritty 61. Sri Lanka’s disciplined bowling effort saw Viran Chamuditha and Kugathas Mathulan claim two wickets each.

Chasing 194, Sri Lanka were rocked early but steady contributions from Senuja Wekunagoda (43) and Dimantha Mahavithana (37) kept them in the hunt. Player of the Match Chamika Heenatigala held his nerve with an unbeaten 22 to guide his side home with 19 balls to spare.

USA vs Scotland

United States Under-19 produced one of their most dominant performances of the tournament, thrashing Scotland Under-19 by seven wickets in the 16th-place playoff at Harare Sports Club.

Scotland posted 236 in 50 overs, led by Theo Robinson’s patient 83. Ritvik Appidi starred with the ball for USA, picking up four wickets.

In reply, Adnit Jhamb delivered a sensational unbeaten 116 off 93 balls, smashing 17 fours and a six. Supported by captain Utkarsh Srivastava (52), USA chased down the target with 68 balls to spare.
