📢 In a major relief for government job aspirants in Telangana, Telangana Public Service Commission has announced a series of reforms aimed at speeding up recruitment and increasing transparency in the examination process.
Addressing a press conference in Hyderabad, TGPSC Chairman Burra Venkatesham said that the Commission will now issue two to three recruitment notifications every month, ensuring regular employment opportunities for candidates across the state.
🏛️ More Recruitment Notifications Every Month
According to the chairman, TGPSC has already scheduled three recruitment notifications for release and expects to issue five to six notifications during June 2026.
📋 The Telangana Finance Department has approved recruitment for nearly 3,800 vacancies across various departments. Among them are 1,393 Forest Beat Officer (FBO) posts, which are expected to attract thousands of applicants.
However, officials noted that recruitment remains challenging in certain categories due to limited vacancies. Around 28 categories currently have only one vacancy each, while another 25 categories have fewer than five vacancies.
💻 Major Shift to Computer-Based Tests (CBT)
One of the most significant announcements is TGPSC’s plan to gradually replace traditional OMR-based examinations with Computer-Based Tests (CBTs).
⚡ Chairman Burra Venkatesham explained that the existing OMR system has become increasingly complex, while CBTs offer greater flexibility, faster processing, and improved efficiency.
Under the new system:
✅ Faster result processing
✅ Better transparency
✅ Reduced chances of irregularities
✅ More secure examination process
✅ Question papers can be generated shortly before the exam
📊 Instant Score Visibility for Candidates
Another major advantage of CBT exams is that candidates will be able to know their scores immediately after completing the examination.
🎯 This move is expected to significantly reduce delays in recruitment and boost confidence among applicants by making the selection process more transparent and efficient.
The chairman advised aspirants to start preparing for computer-based examinations as most future TGPSC recruitment tests are likely to follow the CBT format.
🚀 ‘Pratibha Bharati’ Initiative Announced
TGPSC also unveiled a new initiative called Pratibha Bharati, inspired by the UPSC’s Pratibha Setu programme.
Under this initiative, qualified candidates who successfully clear various stages of recruitment but narrowly miss final selection will be connected with verified private-sector employers.
🏢 The platform will allow companies, PSUs, autonomous bodies, and private organizations to access a pool of talented and verified candidates, creating additional employment opportunities beyond government jobs.
🔍 Background of the Reforms
These reforms come after TGPSC faced multiple controversies in recent years, including exam cancellations, paper leak allegations, legal challenges, and recruitment delays that affected lakhs of job aspirants across Telangana.
📈 Officials believe the new measures will help restore confidence in the recruitment system while making the process faster, fairer, and more reliable.
