New Zealand Opt to Field; Bangladesh Bring in Mustafizur & Tanvir for 3rd ODI
In the third ODI at Chattogram, New Zealand captain Tom Latham won the toss and chose to field against Bangladesh national cricket team. Interestingly, Latham had also won the toss in the previous two matches, but had elected to bat first on those occasions.
New Zealand have made one change to their lineup, bringing in left-arm pacer Ben Lister in place of Blair Tickner.
Bangladesh, on the other hand, have made two key adjustments. Mustafizur Rahman and Tanvir Islam come into the side, replacing Taskin Ahmed and Rishad Hossain.
Series So Far
New Zealand took the lead in the series with a 26-run victory in the opening ODI, thanks to an impressive all-round performance from Dean Foxcroft. Bowlers Tickner and Nathan Smith played a major role, combining for seven wickets. Bangladesh struggled during the middle overs in that match, suffering a collapse that proved costly.
However, Bangladesh bounced back strongly in the second ODI. Nahid Rana delivered a शानदार spell of 5/32, while Tanzid Hasan scored a fluent half-century to guide the team to a comfortable 199-run chase.
Upcoming Matches
Both teams will remain in Chattogram for the third ODI and the first two T20Is. The series will then move to Dhaka for the final T20I scheduled on May 2.
