Triumph 350cc Engine Specs Leaked Ahead of India Launch

Triumph Motorcycles is preparing to introduce its new 350cc lineup in India, including models based on the Speed, Scrambler, and Thruxton series. Ahead of the official launch scheduled for April 6, key engine specifications have surfaced online.

The new 350cc engine appears to deliver slightly lower performance figures compared to the existing 398cc motor. However, the drop in power is relatively small, while the torque output has seen a more noticeable reduction.

Interestingly, the new engine produces peak power at higher RPMs. This suggests a more rev-happy and performance-focused nature, though it may reduce low-end torque. As a result, riders might need to shift gears more frequently, especially in city traffic conditions.

⚙️ Performance Highlights:
  • Speed T4 (350cc)
    • Expected to produce slightly lower power and torque than the current model
    • Slower acceleration and reduced top speed (~137 km/h)
  • Speed 400 & Scrambler 400 X/XC (350cc versions)
    • Around 36.5 bhp & 32 Nm
    • Lower than the 398cc versions (39.5 bhp & 37.5 Nm)
  • Thruxton 400 (350cc version)
    • Expected 39.5 bhp & 32 Nm
    • Remains the most performance-oriented model
    • Top speed around 157 km/h

Overall, while performance remains competitive, the reduced torque and higher-revving characteristics indicate a different riding experience, possibly more suited for enthusiasts who prefer revving engines.

With the official launch just around the corner, more details including pricing and features are expected to be revealed soon.
