Haryanvi dancer and performer Sapna Choudhary appeared before a court in Lucknow on Saturday in connection with an ongoing case dating back to 2018. The Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate (ACJM) court had earlier issued a bailable warrant against her due to repeated absence during hearings.

Upon her appearance, the court ordered her to be taken into custody briefly as part of the legal process. However, after the hearing, the court canceled the warrant and granted her bail.

The court directed Sapna Choudhary to furnish a personal bond of ₹60,000 for her release. Additionally, a fine of ₹1,400 was imposed while disposing of the warrant.

The case originates from an FIR filed on October 13, 2018, at Ashiyana police station in Lucknow by Sub-Inspector Firoz Khan. Along with Sapna Choudhary, several other individuals were also named in the complaint.

Authorities had already framed charges in the case, but Sapna had reportedly not been appearing in court, leading to the issuance of a bailable warrant. Her recent appearance has now brought temporary relief in the matter.
